My name is Tyler Lyhne. I plan to major in Computer Science, and I enjoy writing code, but I also enjoy many aspects of graphic design, so Electronic Publishing and Design seemed like a really fun class to me, and it has been. I have had a really great time learning the basics of HTML and more about the Adobe Suite. Some aspects of the course were a little challenging, but most of them were also really interesting.
I would recommend this class to anyone interested in graphic design, advertising, or even people looking to start their own businesses because this class would teach them about building effective websites and about creating really professional looking documents. This class would probably also be very informative for people who were not planning to do anything with computers but did enjoy art or design.
I created this website to showcase the work that I have created over the course of this semester. The InDesign work is from the first half of the semester, during which we were concentrating on learning about Adobe InDesign. The Photoshop work includes work from the Photoshop Tutorials we practiced throughout the semester. Also, the website itself is to showcase my ability to write HTML code from scratch, which is what we learned during the second half of the semester.
